Fall is quickly approaching and so is The ROAR’s flagship annual charity effort, Tigers for Tatas, which officially kicks off in-person events on October 3rd from 6 AM until 9 AM at Trammell & Mills Law Firm at 1650-A East Greenville Street in Anderson. All proceeds benefit Dabo's All In Team Foundation for breast cancer research.

Unfortunately, breast cancer hits very close to home for Coach Swinney’s family. Kathleen’s sister Lisa lost her life after battling breast cancer at just 49 years old. Kathleen and her younger sister both discovered that they are carriers of the BRCA gene mutation – making them at high risk for developing breast cancer. Kathleen is adamant that early detection and taking early preventative measures may have saved their lives.

According to SCDHEC, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in South Carolina. The Swinney family, like our community partners and fans, are passionate about education, offering free screening and testing options and supporting families and loved ones who are battling breast cancer diagnoses throughout the Upstate.
