We've teamed up with Sunday Dinner with a Twist AND Oasis of Hope to create some holiday magic for Upstate families!
On Thursday 12/18, we're partnering with a local charity and foster care licensing agency to spread Christmas cheer! With your help, we want to make this Christmas memorable for three families in need.
THE NEED:
- When children are taken from their homes, many of them don't understand what is happening or if they will ever see their family again. Some aren't able to be placed with their siblings and are split up. Imagine being taken from your mom and dad and being placed in a house with strangers. They are leaving behind their toys, games, bicycles, clothes and everything they were able to call theirs. These children and teens are being placed in foster homes without a weeks worth of clothes or any of their belongings.
- We want them to be able to have presents under the tree to open on Christmas Day since they won't be with their family at their home. Oasis of Hope is in need of funds so that they can purchase toys, games, books, bicycles, scooters, sports equipment, anything to make foster kids smile during the holidays.
- SDWAT will collect and distribute funds for three sponsored families and make a donation to Oasis of Hope to purchase the items.
