On Oct. 25, 2021, head coach Urban Meyer revealed that wide receiver DJ Chark is officially out the rest of the season with a fractured ankle.

In week four against the Cincinnati Bengals, Chark was carted off the field with the gruesome injury and placed on the injured reserve list. Chark will now remain on the list.

In his contract year, Chark was only able to play four games for the Jacksonville Jaguars and had a total of seven catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns. It will be interesting to see how things pan out for the wide receiver during contract negotiations because of the injury.

Trevor Lawrence will now rely even more heavily on Marvin Jones Jr. and Laviska Shenault Jr. in the passing game with the absence of Chark. Also, look for wide receiver Jamal Agnew to have an increased role on offense.

Lawrence and the Jaguars will resume their season at Luman Field as they travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks on Oct. 31, at 4:05 p.m. ET. The Seahawks open up as 3.5 point favorites against the Jaguars.
