On Wednesday, April 19th, we raised money for two Upstate charities that are near and dear to our hearts - Sunday Dinner with a Twist and Pops for Pups.

Sunday Dinner with a Twist

Their outreach began five years ago, after the founders, John “Redd” Martin and his wife, Cassandra, saw
a need and decided to fill it. After spending eighteen, of the last thirty years homeless, depressed, and
struggling with addiction, Redd found the Lord (and Cassandra!), and by the grace of God was freed
from the burdens he faced on the streets. Together, Redd and Cassandra began feeding the homeless
community hot meals, cooked right in their kitchen, just the like the Sunday dinners Cassandra’s family
always had. Eventually, their vision became bigger, as Upstate volunteers began joining in their mission.
They know what they are doing is something special! As of today, they feed over 125 people each Sunday evening, knowing each week there are many more they aren’t reaching.

Pops for Pups

Pops for Pups was founded by McCain Childress to benefit the Canine F.E.T.C.H. unit – the facility dog program at Prisma Health Upstate. At age 17, McCain has already raised over $125,000 to permanently endow one of the dogs and provide needed care for the others. The F.E.T.C.H. unit facility dogs partner with a handler to provide care and comfort to young patients every day. Funds raised by Pops for Pups help offset the costs of the dogs daily expenses as well as medical care.

Tune in all day Wednesday for interviews with organizers and community members positively affected by Redd and McCain's efforts. Walt will have SIGNED Clemson Football memorabilia available for auction with all proceeds going to our two charities.
